Mr. Lonnie Rawls, the coordinator of the beach party, and DJ Lock It Down was able to set it off with some major hooks that had everyone bobbing their heads to the funky beats. March for Justice: Quiana Dees, Asbury Park, NJ

Share 18 years ago, the body of 12-year-old Quiana Dees was found in a vacant lot, laying lifeless with a bullet in her head. The next day she would die. Still no one charged with her murder. Every year since Quiana’s murder, her mother Penny Dees organizes the march that begins at Asbury Park Middle School, stops at the lot at Washington Avenue and Fischer Avenue where the body was found, travels through West Lake Avenue, and ends at City Hall.
