Trenton, NJ –
According to a report by the APP.com, Aron Pines of Neptune, NJ has been found not guilty on charges of felony murder and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose in the 2008 murder trial of Nathaniel Wiggins.

Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Decker said Pines was found guilty on other charges against him, second-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Pines, 21, who was a high school senior at the time he was charged, has maintained his innocence since he was accused of murdering Nathaniel Wiggins. He chose to represent himself while a counselor sat and advised him.

Prosecutors claimed Pines was the mastermind behind the crime who planned to rob Wiggins of his marijuana. Wiggins was shot and killed during the robbery.

Pines, along with his brother Tahj Pines and two others, were charged with the murder of Nathaniel Wiggins. Kenneth Michael Bacon-Vaughters, of Neptune, was found guilty in March of felony murder and other charges. He was sentenced in June to 40 years in prison.
