Video: Arthur Morgan’s First Court Appearance

Morgan was arrested last week in California after a nationwide hunt. He made his initial appearance Monday afternoon in Monmouth County Court. Superior Court Judge Thomas F. Scully continued bail at $10 million, cash only.

Prosecutors state Tierra Morgan was "awake, alert, and helpless" while strapped in her car seat when her father tossed her from a bridge.

Detectives say they have placed Morgan at and near the scene of the crime and has evidence that ties him to the car seat.

Morgan then went to a friend's house to have some drinks. He left his car and clothes behind and boarded a train to Newark, NJ. After arriving in Newark, NJ he then headed south and then west into San Diego, prosecutors said.
