Today marks the 10 year anniversary of Aaliyah’s death. The rising singer-movie star was killed in a plane crash on August 25th, 2001 in the Bahamas after “Rock The Boat” video shoot. In my opinion, Aaliyah was on the verge of being a legend before she died.
BET is set to honor the R&B star with a tribute special commemorating her life. The show, entitled ‘Aaliyah: One In a Million,’ will feature commentary from Missy Elliott, Timbaland, Patti Labelle, Kelly Rowland and more. It will start at 8pm tonight.
