2006 Neptune High School and recent graduate of University of Miami, Cory Nelms, was picked up by the San Francisco 49ers as a free agent.

“I have to give the 49ers a big thank you for giving me the opportunity,’’ he said. “I was ecstatic, man. It’s definitely a blessing and a great opportunity. We all know this is a rough business and you have to keep working to stay in. It’s not about getting in, it’s about staying in.’’
Darius Morris, a 2006 graduate of Long Branch High School and recent graduate of Temple University, was picked by the Houston Texans as a free agent.
