The Boondocks, is returning for its third season on Sunday, May 2, 2010 at 11:30 p.m. on Adult Swim. After a two-year hiatus, the show is back, bringing fans the same controversial topics and unapologetic attitude which made creator Aaron McGruder’s original comic strip series a national phenomenon.

The Boondocks features the voices of Regina King (“Southland”), John Witherspoon (“Friday After Next”), Cedric Yarbrough (“Reno 911”), Gary Anthony Williams (“Boston Legal”), Gabby Soleil (“Johnson Family Vacation”) and Jill Talley (“American Dad”). Guest voices this season include an eclectic mix of actors and media personalities, including Bill Maher (“Real Time with Bill Maher”), Werner Herzog (“Grizzly Man”), Ed Asner (“Mary Tyler Moore Show”), Billy Dee Williams (“Star Wars”), Star Jones (“The View”), Charlie Murphy (“Chappelle’s Show”) and Marion Ross (“Happy Days”).
